Returning U.S. Citizens and Lawful Residents

Submit Repatriation Assistance Request via the US Embassy Kabul online Those eligible for repatriation assistance are U.S. Citizens, or spouses or minors of US citizens awaiting visas.

Evacuation Assistance Request Form

This form, organized by Human Rights First, may be used by Afghans seeking evacuation who may not fit under the parameters of the Repatriation Assistance Request form collected by DOS. Submission of this form does not guarantee evacuation. It will be delivered to the U.S. government for cross-referencing of need.

Special Immigrant Visa Program (SIV)

Administrative processing of Special Immigrant Visas will continue. Contact afghansivapplication@state.gov to check the status of a case. For more information on the SIV program, click here. DOS has established an SIV Hotline for applicants: 1-888-407-4747 (Alternate number: 202-501-4444). You may have to call multiple times to get through!

No One Left Behind

No One Left Behind is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting Afghan citizens who assisted the United States government.

Team America Relief

Team America Relief is a group of citizen liaison volunteers who--through their collective knowledge, open-source information, and hard work--support ongoing evacuation efforts in Afghanistan. You can ask for help at https://www.teamamericarelief.org.

P-2 Visas

As of August 2, 2021, Afghans affiliated with the U.S. government may be referred to the P-2 program access type if they fall within the eligibility criteria.

International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP)

IRAP provides resources for assisting individuals in Afghanistan, including SIV and P-2 guides, as well as a guide for media and NGO employers in Afghanistan.

PALS Pro Bono Afgan Legal Services

USCRI is offering free legal assistance to Afghans under its PALS program. If you require pro bono legal services, please email the PALS program at pals@uscrimail.org, or call 984-349-0080.

Post-Evacuation Resettlement Assistance

RCUSA can connect you with your local resettlement agency. If you are looking for a way to help refugees in your community, reach out to your local resettlement agency to volunteer or donate.
